Jagjit Kumar takes oath as member JKPSC in Jammu

Jammu: Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (PSC) Abdul Latief Deva Friday administered oath of office and secrecy to Jagjit Kumar a former IPS Officer as new member of the Commission.
Members of the PSC, Jai Pal Singh, Asgar Ali Choudhary, Suresh Kumar Sharma, TseringAngchuk and Prof. Posh Charak besides, Secretary Public Service Commission, Rajesh Sharma were present at the oath ceremony.
DLSA organizes awareness prog on POSCO, Drug Abuse at K C Int’l School Jmu
Jammu: District Legal Services Authority, Jammu Friday conducted an awareness program on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and Drug Abuse at K.C. International School.
Naushad Ahmad Khan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Jammu, convener and program co-ordinator along with his team member, Sarla Bhat, Under Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Jammu and Advocate Sakshi Sharma was present. Principal Subhendu Sarkar also graced the program.
The session was organized to enlighten the students about protection of Children from Sexual offence Act, and its feature. The program started with a brief introduction about POCSO and narcotics by the students of KCIS, followed by a detailed information about the act by Naushad Ahmad Khan, Secretary, DLSA Jammu, and Advocate, Jyoti Sharma, Master trainer of the program.
There was also an interactive sessions wherein the queries of students were sorted. The program ended with a vote of Thanks by vice principal, Anupama Sinha.
