Jammu: Sonam Wangchuk, internationally acclaimed innovator and academician Thursday called on Advisor to Governor, Kewal Kumar Sharma and discussed several developmental issues related to Ladakh.
Wangchuk discussed in detail the projects related to harnessing the solar energy by way of generating electricity through it and also development of pastures, irrigation facilities, besides sponsoring educational avenues, job opportunities to the youth by way of installing power plants in the area.
The Advisor assured him of all the possible help in ensuring that the solar energy of the Ladakh district is properly harnessed, so that the State becomes self-sufficient in power generation.
Commissioner/ Secretary PDD, Hridesh Kumar was also present on the occasion.
