Rajouri: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Ajaz Asad, Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the status of Business Reform Action Plan and District Mineral Foundation Trust for increasing transparency and efficiency in various government regulatory functions and services for business in the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Development, CEO, RDA DFO Social Forestry, DTO, GM DIC, SDM, Kalakote and other district officers.
Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) ensures ease of doing business, transparency and hassle-free conduct of business which includes registration of hotels, travel agencies, issuance or renewal of license to manufacturers of Pesticides/insecticides/fertilizers etc.
It also includes approval of plan and permission to construct or extend or take into use any building as factory, registration and renewal of boilers and compliance inspections under various laws.
General Manager DIC apprised the DDC about various issues related to business establishment like non-availability of online portal, lack of land for the establishment of industrial estates, lack of electricity connections etc.
Meanwhile, DDC also reviewed the status of activities undertaken for the promotion of tourism in the district.
CEO RDA informed the chair that the master plan for tourism has been finalized and a meeting has already been conducted with the stakeholders in this regard.
