Udhampur: A legal literacy camp was organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) for workers of unorganized sector at Meer in Panchari Tehsil of the district here Tuesday.
The camp was presided over by Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Sandeep Kour while Deputy Chief Warden was also present on the occasion .
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary said the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) has launched several schemes to ensure justice to all. Through these schemes, legal aid is being provided to the poor and helpless people, disabled people, women and other weaker sections of the society, she added. She said the workers of the unorganised sector can also take advantage of these schemes.
Tehsildar Panchari, Advocates Swatanter Dev Kotwal and Sanjit Kumar also apprised people about various schemes of government working in unorganized sector and also informed them about the schemes being implemented under various labour laws for the welfare of workers.
