Ramban: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Showkat Aijaz Bhat, Saturday reviewed the progress on various major projects being executed in the district, here at a meeting.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Dr. Basharat Hussain, CPO, Uttam Singh, SDM, Banihal, Zameer Rishu, SDM, Gool, Pankaj Bagotra and Lnad Collectors and representatives of Railways, National Highway, PMGSY, PWD, NABARD and BRO.
The DDC reviewed the location wise progress of land acquisition and compensation cases of major development projects including work on Railway Project, National Highway(Four-Laning), PMGSY, PWD and NABARD being executed in the district.
During the meeting, various bottlenecks were discussed and the DDC resolved most of the issues on the spot. He directed the Collectors to settle compensation cases as early as possible. He enjoined upon the concerned officers for judicious and effective utilization of funds and resources besides removing the bottlenecks in the developmental works.
He directed the SDMs and Tehsildars to conduct tours to listen to the grievances and problems of the public and resolve the same in coordination with concerned departments.
