Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana Saturday chaired a meeting of District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) to review the implementation of the Self Help Group of Engineers scheme here.
SSP Kishtwar, Rajinder Kumar Gupta, ADDC Kishtwar, Imam Din, S.E PDD Kishtwar, ADC Kishtwar, Pawan Kumar Parihar, CPO Kishtwar, Yasir L. A. Balwan, ACD Kishtwar Anil Kumar Chandail, DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal, AD Employment, Kishtwar Anoop Kumar, Exens besides District officers and representative from Self Help group, Aftab Malik attended the meeting.
The DDC took a detailed review of the implementation of guidelines for Self Help Group of Engineers Scheme and exhorted upon the concerned to ensure that the scheme meets its objectives in letter and spirit.
Rural Development Department was asked to enrol all SHGs as vendors for supplying material to various works executed by the Department.
The DDC also underscored that SHGs can give technical advice to the field functionaries at Panchayat level for better execution of works. AD Employment was directed to study the various works allotted to the SHGs and submit a report in this regard.
Directions were also given to all concerned departments to allot works to them only when there are sufficient funds available.
The DDC asked for proper reporting of the works allotted to the SHGs so that proper monitoring can be done at district level.
Self Help Group of Engineers scheme was launched to organize the unemployed engineers of the state into the groups to self employ them by providing them gainful sources of livelihood.
