Srinagar/ Feb,2: An intense security drill on Saturday saw the motor bikes off from the road in Srinagar as the traffic police seized dozens of motorcycles which started plying on different roads in the summer capital from the wee hours.
Witness said that the police seized motorcycles despite the riders possessing valid documents. However traffic police officials in Srinagar said that they are seizing motor bicycles of only such riders are seized who fail to produce the necessary document adding that ‘ checking has been intensified for the security reasons keeping in view the visit of the Prime Minister to Kashmir on Sunday’ Security has been beefed up in Srinagar a day before the visir of PM Modi’s to Kashmir. Traffic police Srinagar has issued an advisory for the motorists. As already reported government forces launch a crackdown in city centre Lal Chowk on Saturday this week and used drones as part of a security drill launched ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit to Kashmir.
