Srinagar: Five civilians including three women and two CRPF men were on Thursday injured in a grenade explosion in Herbag area of Anantnag town in South Kashmir said Police.
In a statement issued on Thursday Police said “militants hurled a grenade on a patrol party of CRPF at Sherbagh Chowk in Anantnag town. The grenade exploded resulting in in injuries to five civilians including 3 women, and two CRPF jawans” adding that “the injured have been identified as Rehana Begum, Sobiya Jan, Naza Begum, all three residents of Anchidora, Irfan Dar resident of Lal Chowk Anantnag, Mohd Hussain resident of Sofipora and two CRPF men”
Saying that the two injured CRPF men have been shifted to the hospital for treatment and a case has registered a case in this regard, the pili e statement said “officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances of the incident” .
