Full dress rehearsal for R-Day held across Jammu division

Jammu: In connection with 70th Republic-Day celebration, full dress rehearsal was held Thursday at all the district headquarters of the Jammu division.

At Jammu, the full dress rehearsal for Republic Day was held at Sports Stadium University of Jammu in which Divisional Commissioner   Sanjeev Verma took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JKAP, JKP, CRPF, IRP, Auxiliary Police, Fire & Emergency Services, J&K Forest Protection Force NCC cadets and school children.

A scintillating cultural bonanza depicting patriotism, culture and message against the social evils was also presented by the school Children.

Various government departments also displayed their tableau’s depicting their functioning and achievements.

Deputy Commissioner Jammu and senior officers from police and civil administration were also present on the occasion.

At Kathua, a colourful and vibrant full dress rehearsal was held at District Sports Stadium.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ghanshyam Singh hoisted   National Flag and took salute at the march past comprising contingents from CRPF, District Police, Police Training School, NCC boys and girls and tiny platoons from different government as well as private educational institutions.

SSP, Shridhar Patil, ASP, CEO, District Officers and Principals of Government and Private schools and a large number of students were present at the event.

At Doda, the full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines where Additional Deputy Commissioner  Kishori Lal Sharma unfurled the Tricolour and took salute at the march past with the contingents drawn from the  J&K Police, IR 5th Bn, CRPF 76 Bn, NCC Senior and Junior, FPF, Students of various government and private educational institutes.

Among other present were SSP Mohammad Shabir Malik and SP Operation Ravinder Pal Singh besides other senior officers of district administration.

Full dress rehearsal for Republic Day celebration was also held at New Bus Stand Bhaderwah where Tehsildar Gias-ul-Haq unfurled the tricolour and took salute at the march past.

Among others present were ADC Bhaderwah, ASP Bhaderwah, DFO Bhaderwah, Police, Army and civil society members.

A similar full dress rehearsal was also held in all the sub-divisions and tehsils of the district.

At Udhampur, the rehearsal was held at Government Degree College, Udhampur. Additional District Development Commissioner,   Ashok  Kumar hoisted the National flag and took salute at an impressive march past comprising 36 contingents drawn from CRPF, SKPA, Home Guards, District Police, NCC, Flag troops, Civil Scouts from different educational institutions besides Police Band, took part in a full dress rehearsal.

Cultural items depicting patriotism and rich Dogra culture were also presented by the students.

Senior Superintendent of Police Rajiv Omparkash Pandey, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gurvinderjeet Singh, ASP, Parveen Tabassum Deputy District Election Officer, Sapna Kotwal  DIO, Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia, Exen PWD, Parshotam Kumar Chief Education Officer, Tarsem Lal, DySp Head Quarter Himat Singh besides other concerned were present on the occasion.

At Ramban, the full dress rehearsal  was held with patriotic fervour at District Police Line Chandrog whereat Additional Deputy Commissioner  Dr. Basharat Hussain hoisted the National flag and took the salute at the march past.

As many as 15 contingents including Military band, CRPF, SSB,  IRP, JKP, FPF, NCC squads and student contingents drawn from various institutions took part in the parade.

The ADC appreciated the hard and painstaking efforts made by the heads of various institutions and participants in culminating March past parade and cultural programs for R-Day.

Among others present were SSP Ramban Anita Sharma, ACR, Harbans Sharma ASP, Sanjay Parihar, Tehsildar, Parmod  Kumar  heads of various institutions and prominent citizens.

At Samba, the Full dress rehearsal for Republic Day function was held at Arazi Sports Stadium whereat Additional District Development Commissioner, Arvind Kotwal Hussain hoisted the National flag and took the salute at the march past.

A colourful patriotic cultural program featuring Dances, Songs on nationalistic theme  was also presented which was well received by the local population which came in large numbers to witness the   rehearsal.

At Kishtwar,  the full dress rehearsal in connection with the celebration of Republic Day 2019 was held in the premises of new DC complex whereat SSP Rajinder Kumar Gupta unfurled the tricolour and took salute at the march past presented by contingents of CRPF, Police, JKAP,  Forest protection gaurd , NCC, and troops of school children.

Officers of civil administration, police, army besides public were present on the occasion.

At Poonch, Full dress rehearsal was conducted at Sports Stadium.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Hamid hoisted the national flag and took salute at the march past comprising 29 contingents from CRPF, District Police, Police QRT Commando, NCC boys and girls and platoons of different government and private educational institutions.

At Reasi, the full dress rehearsal of Republic Day was held at Sports Stadium. Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajinder Sharma unfurled the tricolour and took salute at the march pass presented by contingents.

Various schools presented cultural ite Dog squad was major attraction of the parade. A tableau was also presented by the ICDS department.
