Jammu: A 4-day First-Aid Training program organized by Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu concluded here Thursday.
Mixed batches of 30 trainees were imparted training during the four-day course.
The highlights of the training revolved around First Aid Kit, Traumas/ Accidents, Transportation of Injured patient, Management of massive bleeding, fracture, Shock, Heart attack, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Main focus was on the Time Management was explained to participants. Theoretical and practical demonstrations were imparted by the Sr. Consultants namely, Dr. Shelly Mahajan, MD Anaesthesia, assisted by Kanchan Devi Sup. Pharmacist and VironicaMarwah, Field Officer.
The exam was conducted by Dr. Shamim assisted by Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist.
During the last segment of the training, General Secretary J&K State Branch of IRCS M.S. Rather who was the Chief Guest in the valedictory function accompanied by Secretary Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region Dinesh Gupta interacted with the participants.
