Scores of deputations, individuals meet Advisor (G) at Jammu

Jammu: As part of the ongoing public outreach programme initiated by the Governor’s administration, scores of deputations and individuals met the Advisor to Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai to apprise him about their issues and grievances at Convention Centre here Monday.
The deputations and individuals who met the Advisor registered their grievances related to the Sports, School and Higher Education, Home, Public Works, Rural Development, Cooperative, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and other departments and sought his intervention in early redressal of their concerns, demands and developmental needs.
A deputation of All Retail Kerosene Oil Dealers Association projected various issues pertaining to FCS&CA department including release of additional quota of Kerosene oil. Another delegation of Fair Price Shop Dealers from Kashmir demanded their adjustment in the department as Rehber-e-Khurak.
Taking strong cognizance of certain irregularities in the functioning of FCS&CA Department as reported during the public hearing, the Advisor asked Commissioner Secretary FCS&CA to look into the matter for necessary action. He also asked Directors of both the divisions to immediately transfer overstaying employees of their respective Directorates. He also directed concerned to submit a report in this regard to Administrative department within a period of three weeks.
A deputation of Migrant Teachers appointed under PM Package raised issues including release of pending salary, accommodation and others.
The Advisor directed Divisional Administration Kashmir to redress the genuine grievances of migrant employees and provide facilities to enable them to perform their duties smoothly in the Valley.
The inhabitants of Ishtiyari Padder from Kishtwar demanded realignment of Galhar Sansari road, construction of road from Glahar Sansari to Kotheri via Bastaan, construction of CD block at Ishtiyari, establishment of Special Division at Padder, setting up of degree college, up-gradation of infrastructure in existing educational institutions, functioning of Government High School Ishtiyari Thumb, opening of public sector bank branch at Ishtiyari.
A deputation of village Korga Dabbi from Dansal demanded conversion of seasonal camp school Korga to Mobile Primary School.
Another deputation of Jammu Kashmir Civil Society raised its issues which include waving off KCC loans of farmers, installation of power grid station at Pulwama, up-gradation of health sub centre and government middle school at Zadora, plying of e-Rickshaws in the state, establishment of degree college at Keran and up-gradation of road from Dharmari to Jammu.
A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Ladakh Socialist Republic forum demanded for RBA status and issuance of RBA certificate to Kashmiri migrants of entitled area.
Residents of village Dhanwalt from Ramnagar demanded construction of playground at Kanain and up-gradation of Government High School Kanaian to Higher Secondary Level. The inhabitants of village Sughlar form Ramnagar demanded construction of road from Kaldi to Tarbaginan.
All J&K Labour Workers Union, Bhawan Nirman Mazdoor Sang, Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Mazdoor Sang raised several issues pertaining to construction workers which includes renewal of lapsed registered workers card, continuation of marriage assistance schemes, provision of old age pension and family pensions to the workers.
A deputation from Mahore projected issues related to violence affected families. The deputation also demanded up-gradation of Government High School Jaller to Higher Secondary level, model village for Sildhar, primary school and Anganwari centre at Sildhar.
Inhabitants of Darhal from Rajouri demanded establishment of Government Degree College at Darhal. They also demanded promotion of tourism destinations of their area.
Tourism Professional forum demanded inclusion of Tourism subject at +2 level and also framing of policy for regularization of lecturers, demonstrators, vocational instructors working under Academic Arrangement System in various government polytechnic colleges and ITIs
Many other delegations of state government employees of various departments raised their job-related issues.
Besides, individuals in large number also met the Advisor and registered their grievances and concerns including clearance of SRO 43 cases, etc.
Advisor Ganai gave a patient hearing to the demands raised and assured that their grievances/demands would be examined and the concerned departments will be asked to redress all of their genuine concerns.
