Srinagar: United Jihad Council head Syed Salahudin Monday while paying rich tribute to the victims of Gawkadal, Handwara and Kupwara massacres expressed anguish over the silence maintained by International Community vis-à-vis Kashmir.
In a statement issued to local news gathering agency CNS, spokesperson UJC Syed Sadaqat Hussain quoting Salahudin said that International Community has lost its credibility in Muslim world. “The dual policies pursued by International Community will have serious ramifications,” he said and appealed world powers to relook into their policies and play a role to fulfill their promises they have made to the freedom loving people of Kashmir.
Syed Salahuddin held the then Governor Jagmohan responsible for Kashmir massacres. He expressed concern over the deteriorating health of Kashmiri political prisoners in different jails. “These prisoners including Asiya Andrabi, Muzafar Ahmed Dar, Pir Saifullah, Shabir Ahmed Shah are unwell and their lives have been put at risk,” he said and reiterated that Sun of Freedom will rise in Kashmir.
