Land under Defence use: DC Jammu reviews status of e-RENT payment mode

Jammu: Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Kumar Saturday reviewed the status of ERENT- an electronic mode being developed for payment of Rental compensation to owners for the land acquired by the Army for defence purposes.
The meeting discussed in detail various aspects of the new payment system- ERENT being developed for paying rental compensation to beneficiaries.
The Deputy Commissioner was briefed about the present status of progress with regard to preparedness of E-rent through a power point presentation.
The Deputy Commissioner also took stock of disbursement of rental compensation / arrears in Jammu district and impressed upon the SDMs and Tehsildars to expedite the process of payment to the beneficiaries / rightful land owners.
He directed to prepare the list of beneficiaries as well as complete the leftout cases at the earliest.
The meeting was attended by ACG Inderjeet Parihar, SDM Khour Devinder Paul, SDM Chowki Choura Ravinder Sharma, SDM R S Pura Jagdish Singh, SDM Marh Tariq Vaile, SDM North Satish Sharma, SDM South Shrikant and Tehsildars of different tehsils.
