Kishtwar: District Level Task Force Committee for Prime Minister Employment Generation Program(PMEGP) Saturday cleared 35 cases at its 5th meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana.
After thorough examination, against total 38 cases which included 24 cases of District Industries Centre and 14 cases of KVIC, the Committee cleared 35 applications sponsored by implementing agencies and sponsored to the banks for sanctioning of all these projects as per norms of PMEGP guidelines within stipulated timeline.
The 35 cases sponsored to the banks involve Rs. 66.55 Lak as an amount of subsidy which will be released in favour of the beneficiaries within 48 hours after disbursement of the First installment of the loan sanctioned and disbursed which must be equivalent to or more than the subsidy claim. The number of cases sponsored to the banks will generate 195 employment avenues in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Imam-ud-Din, vice chairman of the committee, G.M DIC, convener of committee Usha Rani, District Manager, Lead Bank Sanjev Gupta, Cluster Head J&K Bank Shashi Kumar Sharma, Functional Manager, DIC Ajaz Hussain Malik , representative of KVIC and KVIB besides special invitee of ITI, Municipal Corporation and Municipal Council .
