Chief Justice Meghalaya meets Guv at Raj Bhavan Jammu
Jammu: Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here Friday.
Governor and the Chief Justice exchanged views on various important issues relating to making legal system more effective for meeting the aspirations of the people at large and their felt needs and demands.
CVC meets Guv at Raj Bhavam Jammu
P.L. Gupta, Chief Vigilance Commissioner, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan and briefed him about various important issues relating to the functioning of the Commission and the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Governor emphasized high importance of ensuring transparency in the functioning of the public institutions and role of institutions like Vigilance Commission and Anti-Corruption Bureau, to see that the corrupt elements are effectively dealt with.
CGM SBI meets Guv at Raj Bhavan Jammu
Ashutosh Kumar Singh Rana, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Chandigarh Circle, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here Friday.
Rana briefed Governor about SBI’s functioning in J&K, its future expansion plans and about the services which are being offered to SBI’s clients. He presented a copy of book titled “Flow-India through Water” conceived by Sunjoy Monga and supported by the SBIwhich highlights how harvesting and storing water in indigenously designed structures like step wells, ponds and embankments were a way of life in India.
Governor lauded the SBI’s role in providing reliable banking services to its customers and stressed the crucial role which must be played by the entire banking sector to promote all round growth and development in the country.
VC SMVDU meets Guv at Raj Bhavan Jammu
Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, met Governor Satya Pal Malik, Chancellor of the University, at the Raj Bhavan Friday.
Prof. Jain briefed Governor about the progress achieved in the past months in the academic, administrative and infrastructural development arenas and the initiatives presently underway.
Governor emphasized the importance of ensuring that there was no gap whatsoever in the quality of teaching and stressed maintaining sharp focus on the implementation of relevant research projects.
