Srinagar: A spontaneous shutdown for on Tuesday against the killings of Al Badr commander Zeenat ul Islam and his associate in a gunfight last week hit normal life for the fourth consecutive day in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Reports said all shops and other commercial establishments are closed and passenger transport is off the roads in the district.
Al Badr Commander Zeenat Ul Islam and his aide Shakeel Ahmad were shot dead by the forces in a brief shootout in Yaripora area of the neighbouring Kulgam district on Saturday evening last week.
Meanwhile, Internet continues to remain suspended in Shopian district for fourth straight day. The service was suspended soon after the killing of Al Badr Commander Zeenat Ul Islam and his associate on Saturday evening last week
