Jammu: A Junior Commissioned Officer of the army died after he fell down on the ground near the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said Tuesday.
A police official said that Naik Subedar R Singh fell unconscious during duty at a location near LoC in Mankote area following which he was shifted to army medical center where he was declared brought dead.
The official said that Singh is believed to have died due to a heart stroke . The medico-legal formalities are being conducted at the civil hospital, he said.
