Srinagar: Day after the annual results of class 12th which were declared in Kashmir provenance, a teenage girl from Baramulla district in north Kashmir tried to end her life by jumping in a river in Batpora area of Sopore on Tuesday.
Reports said that an 18-year-old girl tried to suicide by jumping in the river after she failed to qualify her class 12th exam; however when the locals noticed she was rescued and shifted to a local hospital. The girl is said to be stable now.
A police official said that they have taken the cognizance of the incident and further investigations are going on.
