Advisor (G) visits Distt Hospital Ang

Anantnag:  Advisor to Governor, Khurshid Ahmad Ganai Tuesday inspected District Hospital, Anantnag and took stock of the medicare facilities being provided to the patients here. He also visited different sections/wards including emergency ward, post-operative wards, surgical wards, Trauma section, Endoscopy section, Dialysis centre, Cardiac ICU Unit.

The Advisor also met various indoor and outdoor patients besides, attendants of the patients who raised demand for availability of various medicines and lifesaving drugs.

Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik and CMO, Anantnag were also present on the occasion.

The Advisor also took review of the work done made in district hospital, Anantnag during the year 2018-19. The Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Anantnag informed the Advisor that 1485 cases of hepatitis were treated, along with 2600 dialysis, 3831 blood infusion and 2525 total head surgeries have been conducted in the hospital. He was also informed that under PM-JAY 1090 patients have been registered in the hospitals.

The Advisor also took stock of work done in make shift arrangement made for Government Medical College, Anantnag which has been temporally made functional at District Hospital, Anantnag. The make shift arrangement is being constructed by JKPCC at an estimated cost of Rs.2.44 crore. He also directed JKPCC to speed up construction work of Block-A and stressed for completion of the same by the end of the year. He also made visit of Shopping Complex at Old SRTC yard Anantnag.

Later, the Advisor convened the meeting of District and Sectoral Officers at DakBunglowKhanabal to review the overall developmental scenario of the district.

The meeting was attended byDDC Anantnag, ADC, ACD, CMO, SEs of I&FC, R&B, PDD, Xens of PMGSY, R&B, JKPCC, Joint Director Planning Anantnag, DSWO, and other senior officers of the district.
