Srinagar/Jan, 5: Admitting that 2.6-3 feet snow in Rafiabad area of Baramulla districts and frontier district Kupwara i had shut most of the roads in the twin districts of North Kashmir the Government on Saturday said 60% of the roads have cleared in both the district of North Kashmir and it will take some more time to clear the uncleared roads in both the districts.
Talking to Kashmir Horizon Chief Engineer R & B Sami Arif said “road connectivity was not an issue in South and Central Kashmir District but 2.6-3 feet snow in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district and frontier district Kupwara had closed most of the roads but 60% of the closed roads were cleared today and it will take some more time to clear the uncleared roads. The Baramulla – Kupwara the and Sopore-Kupwara roads are through for traffic. He however said that Kupwara-Tanghdar and Bandipora Gurez roads are looked after by Border agency Roads Organisation popularly called BEACON.
