Srinagar: A delegation of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Inc) led by Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, President met Muneer Ahmad Khan, Additional Director General of Police, Law & Order, on Wednesday regarding the attacks on Kashmiri shopkeepers in Rohru Tehsil, Shimla.
Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad expressed the concern felt by the business community of the state over repeated attacks, harassment, and intimidation of Kashmiri traders. Muneer Ahmad Khan Additional Director General of Police assured full support of J&K Police as may be required in this case.
The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry is also scheduled to meet the Vijay Kumar, Hon’ble Advisor to Governor tomorrow regarding this issue. Meanwhile President, KCC&I is in constant touch with the victims of the recent violence in Shimla.
