Er Tashi inaugurates submersible water pump at Cattle Breeding Farm Kurbathang

Kargil: Executive Councillor for Tourism and Zanskar Affairs Er Punchoq Tashi Thursday inaugurated submersible water pump plant here at Cattle Breeding Farm Kurbathang.
Executive Councillor for Agriculture Zakir Hussain was also present.
The submersible water pump completed at a cost of Rs 18 lakh under District Plan will help in meeting the water requirements of the Cattle and Poultry Farm of the Animal Husbandry Department at Kurbathang area.
It will also help in enhancing fodder production in the farm lands in and around the Cattle Breeding Farm Kurbathang and will cut down the expenses on meeting water requirements of the cattle and livestock.
The EC, while congratulating the Animal Husbandry Department for having acquired the water facility, impressed upon the concerned to make its judicious use.
Er Tashi said the Hill Council Kargil is committed to give impetus to the Animal and Sheep Husbandry as one of the priority sectors and all out efforts are underway to strengthen it so as to extend maximum benefits to the common people.
