Bandipora: The Department of Legal Metrology (LMD) on Monday conducted marketing checking in various markets of the district and booked several erring traders.
According to the department, a team headed by Assistant Controller Legal Metrology conducted market checking in Bandipora, Sumbal, and Hajin areas and booked 27 traders for violation of Legal Metrology laws. A fine of Rs.10,600 was also recovered from the violators.
