Jammu: In order to bid farewell Ali Mohammad Dar, Conservator of Forests who attained superannuation Monday, a farewell party was organized in his honor at Van Bhawan Forest Complex Jammu.
Ali Mohammad Dar, IFS joined State Forest Services in the year 1984 and later on was inducted into the Indian Forest Services in the year 2006. Dar gave around 23 years of unblemished service in the department and worked in almost all wings of Forest Department in different capacities like DFO Seed, DFO Demarcation Srinagar, DFO Bandipora Division, Divisional Manager State Forest Corporation, General Manager SFC, Regional Manager Pollution Control Board, Joint Director, Soil and Water Conservation, Project Coordinator WUCUMA and lastly Conservator of Forests, Agrostology Circle, J&K.
Speaking on the occasion the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Suresh Chugh, said Ali Mohmmad Dar was an upright officer who contributed a lot towards forest protection management in various capacities.
Sarvesh Rai, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (CAMPA) also spoke on the occasion about the services rendered by Ali Mohammad Dar. In the farewell other senior Officers including A.G. Hajam, CCF Central, Sameer Bharati, CCF Jammu and K. Ramesh Kumar, CCF Planning & Projects/ Secretary Technical also participated.
Later he was presented a shawl and the officers wished him good health and prosperous post retirement life.
