Udhampur: The block level three day sports event organised by District Administration under ‘Khelo India’ witnessed thrilling competitions in different games on the second day.
District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar was the chief guest.
Over 150 under 15 year students/school dropouts drawn from various educational institutions took part in the competitions.
The chief guest interacted with participants and encouraged them to take part in games/sports regularly. He said such events go a long way to inculcate the sportsmanship among the students. He appreciated the officials of Sports Councils and Youth Services and Sports Department for successfully reaching out to the rural and remote areas and doing their best to promote Khelo India initiative on ground level.
Among others present were Manager Sports Council, Udhampur Shaktish Chopra, coaches of Sports Council J&K, officials of Youth Services & Sports Department, civil society members, staff and students of different schools.
