Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders Mohammad Dilawar Mir, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and President Democratic Party (Nationalist) (DPN) Ghulam Hassan Mir have in their separate statements said that they have no idea or knowledge about the formation of a third front in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Parliamentary and assembly elections in the state.
Local news gathering agency KNS quoted senior PDP leader and former Minister Mohammad Dilawar Mir as saying “Neither I have any grievances with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after nor have any idea about the formation of any third front. Meeting some friend or relation in private capacity should not be attributed to any political activity. Can’t politicians meet even as relatives or friends?”
In a similar statement another senior PDP leader and former Finance Minister Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said” I am in Delhi. I don’t have any idea or knowledge about the formation of a third front in Jammu and Kashmir.”
President Democratic Party Nationalist and former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir said ‘I have no idea about it. These are just rumours”.
The statements from Dilawar Mir, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and Gh Hassan Mir on formation of third front have come amid reports about the formation of third front and defection of some legislators from PDP and BJP to National Conference and other parties.
