Jammu: People’s Democratic Party Monday organized a protest inside Civil Secretariat Jammu against Pulwama Massacre.
Police rushed to spot to pacify the protesting PDP leaders who accused New Delhi of pursuing muscular policy in Kashmir.
Eyewitnesses said PDP leaders including MLC Firdous Tak, Aijaz Mir and others assembled in the canteen of the Secretariat and marched in its lawns. The protest march culminated outside the office of Chief Secretary V V R Subrahmanyam.
The protesters alleged that New Delhi instead of engaging stake-holders is resorting to killings in Kashmir. They said that blood of innocent people are being spilled on the roads of Kashmir and unfortunately, there are people who are justifying these killings.
The protesters even entered the corridors of power and demanded end to civilian killings in Kashmir.
Reports said that two advisors of Governor Khurshid Ganie and KK Sharma were sitting in the Chief Secretary office when protest was going on outside. Top police brass including IGP Jammu rushed to spot to pacify the protesters.
