Reports said that Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman has been put under house detention as heavy contingents of police and paramilitary CRPF have been deployed outside his residence at Hyderpora. Early Monday morning Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq the Hurriyat of the Conference (M) Chairman defied the House arrest and took out a protest march along with dozens of his supporters but was detained outside his Nigeen residence. The JKLF Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik too took out a protest march from Gawkadal Monday morning after remaining hiding for more than twelve hours to evade arrest but was stopped near Budshah Bridge where police used tear gas shells to disperse the marchers including women accompanying Malik in the march to army cantonment Badami Bagh Srinagar .
