Srinagar/Dec,16:Shutdown called by Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) for three days beginning Sunday comprising Syed Ali Shah Geelani the Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman, Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq the Hurriyat Conference(M)Chairman and Mohammad Yasin Malik the JKLF Chairman against killing of seven civilians last Saturday crippled normal life across Kashmir On Sunday (today).
Reports said shops and business establishments are closed, traffic is off the roads and train services are suspended. Streets in Srinagar and elsewhere in Kashmir valley wear a deserted look. Law enforcing authorities have deployed police and paramilitaries in strength in sensitive areas of Srinagar city and major towns of Kashmir valley. Mobile internet services are suspended in Srinagar the summer capital and major towns of Kashmir valley.
As already reported seven civilians were killed in post gunfight clashes in Sirnoo vill9of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district after the killing of three militants and an army man in a gunfight.
