Banihal/Dec, 16: A complete shutdown called by Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Shah Geelani the Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman, Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq the Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman and Mohammad Yasin Malik the JKLF Chairman against the killing of seven civilians in Sirnoo village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district last Saturday also being observed in Chenab Valley on Sunday (today) hit normal life in Banihal, Khari, Bhadarwah, Doda, Thathri, Gandoh and Kishtwar areas.
Reports said all the shops and other business establishments were closed and passenger traffic was off the roads in all the townships.
President Anjuman Islamia (AIB) Bhadarwah, Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh in his statement said termed the killings as “most heinous, opening up of a bloody war against unarmed civilians” and “worst atrocity” against the people of Kashmir.
