Man held along with explosive substances in Pulwama: Police

Srinagar: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested a person along with explosive substances in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
“On a credible input, Police and security forces (55 RR) in Pulwama recovered huge quantity of explosive substances and incriminating materials from one individual,” a police spokesman said in a statement.
The spokesman said that at a Naka checkpoint established at Tumlahaal Pulwama, the joint team of forces intercepted a vehicle bearing chassis No. MALA851CLJMB38072 and seized safety fuses, detonators, explosive substances, materials used for making IEDs and other incriminating materials from the possession of one individual identified as Mayour Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Afzal Khan resident of Panjran Pulwama.
The individual was arrested and a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Litter in the matter. Further investigation to probe his complicity in terror crimes is going on, he said.
