Sopore: An encounter broke out on Wednesday between militants and the government forces in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Reports said government forces launched a cordon and search operation in Brath Kalan village of Sopore following information about the presence of militants.
Police said that the militants opened fire at the security forces, leading to an encounter. No casualties have been reported so far in the operation, he added. Mobile internet services have been suspended as a precautionary measure.Details were awaiting till the filing of this report
