Ramban: DDC reviews progress under CAPEX budget, govt schemes

Ramban: District Development Commissioner, Showkat Aijaz Bhat Tuesday chaired a meeting to review progress under district CAPEX budget 2018-19 besides major projects being executed in the district.
The DDC reviewed physical and financial achievements registered by Education, PWD, PHE, PDD, RDD, ICDS, JKPCC, Health, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, JKPCC and other departments under various state and centrally sponsored schemes besides progress on languishing projects of PHE department.
The DDC directed the officers to generate awareness among the public regarding benefit of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan (AB-PMJAY). He directed the BDOs to ensure that vital works like development of playfields, construction of Anganwari Centres, bridges, approach roads and paths towards schools in their areas are expedited for timely completion.
Various land acquisition issues were also resolved on the spot.
He asked PWD to ensure speedy completion of roads, schools, Health and other department buildings under various schemes. He asked the ADC to conduct physical verification of ongoing construction work on Health Center buildings in far flung areas besides asking Deputy Director, DRDA to conduct physical verification of road projects.
The DDC fixed deadline for all departments for completion of ongoing projects so that 100 per cent achievement is registered under district plan, state plan and other centrally sponsored schemes. He directed the officers to identify land for the construction of Girls hostels at Ramsoo and Gool.
The BDOs were asked to ensure registration of beneficiaries under PMAY-G and GEO tagging so that deserving people can be provided house and other benefits under the schemes. He asked the BDOs to generate maximum man days under MGNREGA for providing livelihood to job seekers at their doorsteps.
Meanwhile, the DDC reviewed the implementation of schemes including PMAY (R), SAUBHAGYA and took detailed review of the status and progress of major development projects including Schools buildings, Heath centres especially 50 bedded Hospital Banihal, District Hospital, PHCs, Girls Hostel Khanti.
The meeting was attended by ADC Dr. Basharat Hussain, CPO Uttam Singh, Deputy Director, DRDA, Execuitve Engineers of PWD, REW and PDD, CMO, CEO, CHO, CAO, DFOs, BDOs and other district officers.
