KVIB Ang organizes seminar on REGP Scheme

Ang: J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board Anantnag Thursday organised a seminar regarding Rural Employment Generation Program (REGP) Scheme at Zonal Office JK Bank, Bakshiabad Anantnag.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Reyaz Ahmad Sofi was Chief Guest in the Seminar.
On the occasion the Chief Guest asked the unemployed youth to benefit from the schemes offered by KVIB. The Deputy Secretary, KVIB said the board has been involved in planning, promoting, developing & organizing micro industrial sector. He said the energy and enthusiasm of the youth should be channelized for establishment of the productive enterprise in micro industrial sector and to create employment opportunities in rural areas.
On the occasion, the experts from KVIB, District Industries Centre (DIC) Anantnag, various Bank branch heads explained the participants regarding the various kinds of loans, schemes and programs for their economic wellbeing. The participants were given awareness about availing the benefits of REGP scheme and other such centrally sponsored schemes. The experts provided them expertise regarding how to strengthen their REGP units and how to make them sustainable and more profitable.
The participants thanked the Khadi and Village Industries Board for organising such programs.
