Srinagar, Dec 01 : The government has clarified that the process for issuance of Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs) in Jammu and Kashmir remains unchanged absolutely but district development commissioners have been asked only to explain the causes of delay on the complaints alleging unprecedented delay in the issuance of Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs).
A top government official on the conditions of anonymity told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that there is absolutely no change in the process for issuance of Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs) in Jammu and Kashmir and district development commissioners have been asked only to explain the causes of delay on the complaints received by the government from time to time, adding that, “the process is just a routine practice for the purposes of review and quick processing of the PRCs so that people don’t come across difficulties in getting PRCs in short time.
