Srinagar: The directorate of school education Kashmir (DSEK) has submitted a proposal to the government for announcement of winter vacations for government and recognised private schools.
The proposal has been submitted on Wednesday amid the demand from parents for announcement of winter vacation for schools particularly primary classes. Director school education Kashmir, G N Itoo confirmed the development and said his proposal is yet to be approved by the government. “I have put forth a proposal but it is yet to be approved,” he said.
In the proposal, the DSEK has stated that winter vacations for classes up to 8th classes may be announced from December 6 to March 02, 2019. DSEK has also proposed that winter vacation for classes 9th to 12th may be announced from December 17 to February 23
