CEC Kargil reviews progress under Capex Budget, Centrally Sponsored Schemes

Kargil: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan Wednesday reviewed the physical and financial progress achieved under Capex Budget, Non Plan and Centrally Sponsored Schemes in a meeting of the concerned officers here.
Executive Councillor for R&B and Information Nassir Hussain Munshi, Executive Councillor for Horticulture Aga Syed Mujtaba, Executive Councillor for Health Zakir Hussain, Executive Councillor for Zanskar Affairs PunchoqTashi, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Vikas Kundal, Chief Planning Officer Kargil TashiTundup, Executive Engineers of various divisions of PWD and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Kargil informed the CEC that out of the approved outlay of Rs 12546. 57 lacs earmarked for the financial year 2018-2019, funds to the tune of Rs 3879.89 lacs have been released so far.
The DC further informed that expenditure to the tune of Rs 1852.45 lacs has been registered up to ending October, 2018 which represents 61% expenditure of the total released amount.
During the meeting, district officers presented details of the work done and targets achieved under the different schemes.
It was given out that expenditure of Rs 64.15 lacs, Rs 56.93 lacs and Rs 92.24 lacs has been incurred under PHE, Education and Health sectors respectively while as Rs 79.85 lacs and Rs 17.33 lacs has been expended under the Agriculture and Sheep Husbandry.
The CEC impressed upon all concerned to speed up the pace of work on all the remaining works within the approved outlay during the current financial year.
While stressing on timely completion of the developmental works, the CEC directed the concerned to accelerate the pace of works to meet the set deadlines.
Meanwhile, thorough discussions were also held on various issues related to effective implementation of vital schemes and projects in the district.
The CEC instructed the officers to mobilize all the available resources for effective and timely completion of developmental projects besides ensuring accountability and fulfilment of quality parameters.
Feroz Khan directed the officers to work with added zeal and dedication thereby ensuring that the targets are achieved during the financial year so that benefits accrue to the people in a satisfactory manner.
