Srinagar/Nov, 27 : Former SSP Srinagar Reyaz Bedar on Tuesday joined National Conference in presence of National Conference Vice President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who welcomed him into the party fold. Interestingly Omar Abdullah as Chief Minister had unceremoniously dislodged Reyaz Bedar as SSP Srinagar during 2010 summer unrest and called him “good in normal policing”. Bedar hails from Pattan township of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Bedar is likely to take on PDP rebel and former minister Imran Ansari from Pattan constituency of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
