Kargil: The polling materials of Phase-II of Panchayat Elections were Monday distributed among the polling staff at Khree Sultan Choo Sport Stadium Kargil.
Poll materials and Polling Staff were dispatched to their respective 155 polling stations of Panchayat Halqas Karsha, Sankoo, Bhimbat, Shargole, Lotsum, and ShakarChiktan blocks. Foolproof security and other arrangements were made by the District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil), Vikas Kundal, SSP Kargil Dr Vinod Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kargil, District Panchayat Officer Kargil, Head Quarter Assistant to Deputy Kargil and Election staff were also present.
The elections are being conducted for 83 candidates for 31 seats Sarpanch and 217 candidates for 60 Panch seats of district Kargil including Karsha, Sankoo, Bhimbat, Shargole, ShakarChiktan and Lotsum blocks Polling Stations.
