Budgam: An elderly man from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district Monday accused some Block officials from Charar-e-Shareef of fraud stating that they submitted his form for Panchayat Election without seeking his approval.
Asadullah Dar son of Muhammad Akram Dar from Chrawani Charar-e-Shareef whom emerged in Press Enclave Srinagar said that he is restless after he came to know that some officials from Block Charar-e-Shareef have submitted his form for Panchayat Elections scheduled to be held in that block in December next month.
“This all has happened without my knowledge. A probe should be initiated to expose the culprits who have some personal interests. I have nothing to do with these elections,” Dar told said.
Dar said the irony is that officials at Block Charar-e-Shareef feigned ignorance and told him they can’t help him at this stage. “They have already submitted my form. Now my name will figure in the list of contestants. I want to inform all that I have nothing to do with these elections and I am not a contestant at all,” he added.
