Srinagar/Nov, 18 : A complete shutdown against the killing of two militants Sunday morning during a gunfight in Reban area of the Shopian district has hit normal life in the twin districts of Shopian and Pulwama districts.
As reported already two Al Badr militants – Nawaz Ahmad Wagay S/O Ghulam Qadir R/O Rebban Zainapora and Yawar Wani S/O Ali Mohammad Wani R/O Batnoor Litter Pulwama – were killed Sunday morning during a gunfight with the government forces in Rebban area.
Reports said that all shops and other commercial establishments are closed in the districts while public transport remained off the roads.
A police official said that the gunfight broke out in Rebban following a cordon-and-search-operation launched by the government forces after inputs about the presence of the militants in the area.
