Kumar reviews progress on power augmentation projects at Industrial Estates

Jammu : Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Shailendra Kumar Wednesday reviewed progress on augmentation of power infrastructure in various Industrial Estates in the state.
Commissioner Secretary, PDD, Hirdesh Kumar, Chief Engineer, EM&RE, Jammu, Chief Engineer, S&O Wing Jammu, Managing Directors of SIDCO and SICOP, Director Finance and Director Planning of Industries and Commerce Department were present at the meeting.
The meeting was informed that the letter of allotment has been issued for construction of 33/11 KV Sub Stations at Industrial areas at Khunmoh, Lassipora, Bari Brahamana, Samba and Kathua. These projects would cost Rs. 113.95 crore and shall be completed in 12 months.
The meeting also reviewed transmission projects for various Industrial Estates including construction of 220/33 KV 150 MVA GIS Sub Station at Lassipora, augmentation of 132/33 KVA Industrial area Khrew from 100 to 150 KVA MVA, construction of 132/33 KV 100 MVA GIS Sub Station at Khanyar Bag-Ali-Mardan Khan, Srinagar, construction of (53.33×3) MVA+(53.33×1) MVA at Samba, construction of (53.33×3) MVA at Ghatti, Kathua-II and construction of (2×50+1×20) MVA to (3×50) MVA at Kathua.
Kumar said these projects would cost Rs 251 crore and are expected to be completed by September 2019.
He said power infrastructure of industrial estates at Khunmoh, Bagh-i-Ali Mardan Khan, Lassipora, Shalteng, Sanat Nagar, Zainakote, Zakura, Rangreth, Gangyal, Digiana Kathua, Samba, Birpur, Bari Brahamna and Kartholi will be upgraded under Smart Grid projects at a cost of Rs 130 crore.
These projects, he said, have been taken up with the Govt of India for funding which is expected to be obtained soon.
