Advisor (G) hears public grievances at Jammu

Jammu : In order to ensure quality education to students from far-off areas, Governors’ Administration is contemplating rationalization of staff and would consider ‘Master’ as district cadre post.
The Advisor to Governor, Khurshid Ahmad Ganai said this while interacting with the deputation of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teacher’s Association who projected the demands which include regularization of salaries of surplus Masters/ SSA Teachers, adjustment of surplus masters and training to the teachers to be conducted during vacations.
Scores of deputations and individuals met with Advisor and projected string of issues before him during the grievance redressal camp under the aegis of JK Governor’s Grievance cell here Monday.
A deputation of J&K ReT Teachers’ forum demanded for the release of salaries as per 7th pay commission and their salaries be linked with the state budget.
Responding to the demands, the Advisor said all their genuine demand would be considered. He stressed teacher fraternity to play a pivot role in increasing the enrollment of children in schools in their locality. He termed education as the most powerful medium to create an enlightened, progressive and a peaceful society.
Legislator Chenani Dina Nath Bhagat also met with the Advisor and raised the vital developmental issues of his constituency for its early redressal.
The deputation of Ambedkar Sena J&K State urged for introducing all subjects of Science, Arts and Commerce streams in GDC Bishnah. The deputation also demanded for separate building for GDC Bishnah, transport facilities for passengers from Kunjwani to Bishnah via Sehora, early settlement of pension cases for old age, widow and handicapped, special employment drives for youth.
A delegation of all J&K newly appointed non gazetted employees demanded for abrogation of SRO 202 for new appointees. While All Jammu and Kashmir Polytechnic Academic Arrangement Association projected issues related to their regularization.
Another deputation of female candidates demanded for the reservation of female in the Jammu Kashmir Police Sub-Inspector posts.
The inhabitant of village Bhour from Digiana demanded for construction of playground in their area. The residents of village Jadh from Jourian urged for removal of illegal construction on Gair Mumkin nallah in their locality.
The Advisor gave a patient hearing to the deputations and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into. He passed on-spot directions to the concerned departments for redressal of various grievances.
