Secy Social Welfare conducts extensive tour of RS Pura

Jammu : Secretary Social Welfare, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone Saturday visited Observation House, Bal Ashram, Nari Niketan, Anganwadi Centre, Tehsil Social Welfare office in RS Pura and Sudhar Greh at Jammu to inspect the functioning of these offices.
He was accompanied with Director Social Welfare Dr Bharat Bhushan, State Mission Director ICDS Veerji Hangloo, Additional Secretary Social Welfare Babu Ram, Secretary Social Welfare Advisory Board Khalid Hussain Malik along with other senior officers of the department.
Dr Lone inspected the renovation cum construction work of Observation House at RS pura. He asked the executing agency to expedite the work and complete the renovation work with in stipulated time.
He also visited Bal Ashram, Nari Niketan at RS Pura and Sudhar Greh and interacted with the inmates. He inspected the living conditions, feeding facilities and other activities of the ashra He directed the concerned officers to provide all facilities to the needy children as per government norm.
Dr. Lone visited the Adhaar Enrolment Centre at Tehsil Social Welfare office in RS Pura and observed their working. He said adhaar is a very essential identity proof which helps in availing the benefits of the schemes launched by government.
