CEC Kargil inaugurates 15 days theatre workshop

Kargil/Nov, 9: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan Saturday inaugurated a 15 days play production oriented theatre workshop at Language Center here Saturday.
During the workshop which is being organized by the Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Kargil, around 40 selected theatre aspirants shall be provided professional and practical training about different aspects of theatre and play production.
Executive Councilor for Social Welfare Aga Syed Mujtaba Mosavi, Chief Education Officer Kargil Muhammad Mussa, Executive Engineer REW and Owner Munshi Aziz Bhat Museum Kargil Gulzar Hussain Munshi, district officers, trainees and a good number of theatre enthusiasts were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the CEC while hailing the initiative of the Academy in organizing the workshop expressed hope that the workshop will prove an ideal platform to the budding artists to polish their talents under the guidance of professional trainers.
The CEC said the workshop will also prove instrumental in developing positive personality traits and boosting morale of the participants.
On the suggestion of speakers to introduce special theatre training sessions in schools, the CEC said the Council will try to introduce the same in the model Government schools in the first instance. He instructed the CEO, Kargil and the Special Officer for Culture Kargil to explore possibilities to hold such camps for teachers and students during winters.
Meanwhile, the Workshop Director and the first National School of Drama Graduate from Kargil Kacho Ahmad Khan (NSDite), Chief Education Officer Kargil Muhammad Mussa and Executive Engineer REW and owner Munshi Aziz Bhat Museum Kargil Gulzar Hussain Munshi also addressed the trainees.
Earlier during the welcome speech Special Officer for Cultural Activities Kargil Muhammad Ali Tak briefed about the aims and objectives of the 15 days workshop.
Social and Cultural Activist and Curator Munshi Aziz Bhat Museum Kargil Ajaz Hussain Munshi conducted the proceedings while as Cultural Expert Tsewang Rigzin delivered the vote of thanks at the end.
