Srinagar: A 38-year old man died due to lightning at forest area of Gowhalan, Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday morning.
Official sources said that the natural calamity struck forest area at Gowhalan today morning.
Shabir Ahmad Tehklee son of Mir Alam who came under the lightening was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in the unconscious state, they said.
The doctors who attended upon the man declared him brought dead, they said.
A police officer concerned, when contacted confirmed the man’s death due to the lightning.
