Srinagar, Nov 02: First snowfall of the season has ended the several months long dry spell in Kashmir valley and blocked the Bandipora-Gurez road in north Kashmir. Heavy rains have lashed parts of Kashmir valley forcing people to put up woolen wear. The heating appliances though out on the markets for sale but several hour long power breakdown has started irritating people in valley as rains were lashing Thursday evening, power supply was immediately snapped even in Srinagar plunging city centre areas into darkness till Friday afternoon. As already reported the Director Meteorological department Sonam Lotus had already said that weather forecast till November 3 predicts heavy rains in plains and snow in upper reaches.
Meanwhile, days before opening of durbar in Jammu after its shifting in Srinagar the power supply has deteriorated across Kashmir and even in city centre areas.
