Jammu: Unknown gunmen on Thursday shot dead the state secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Anil Parihar and his brother in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Reports said that Anil and his elder brother Ajit were killed in the attack that took place near veterinary hospital in the town. The assailants fired at the duo from point blank range when they were walking towards their residence in Parihar Mohalla. The situation is said to be tense in the town.
Reports said the locals attacked SHO and SSP Kishtwar at the hospital. Both of them were injured in the assault.
Meanwhile, DDC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana imposed curfew in Kishtwar town in view of tense situation.
