Srinagar: The Met department on Tuesday predicted moderate rain or snow over the state from October 1 to November 3, which it said, might lead to temporary closure of highways in Jammu and Kashmir .An advisory issued here by Meteorological department said a spell of light to moderate rain/snow (over higher reaches) is likely from the night of October 31 to November 3 with maximum intensity on 1st and 2nd November in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Moderate snowfall is expected 1-2nd Nov on Mughal Road, Zojila, Sinthan Top, north Kashmir, and mountains of Ladakh, mainly Kargil districts, which may lead to temporary closure of highways,” it said.
