Mega legal services awareness camp held at Ang

Srinagar : A mega legal services-cum-awareness camp was organized by District Legal Services Authority, Anantnag here Tuesday.
The camp inaugurated by Principal District & Sessions Judge Anantnag Syed Tawqeer Ahmad and District Development Commissioner Mohammad Younis Malik under the aegis of NLSA and as per the directions of Chief Justice Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Gita Mittal.
During the camp, 32 stalls were established by Government Departments, various banks, and NGOs wherein brochures, leaflets and folders of various developmental and welfare schemes under implementation in the district was made available to aware the general public.
On the occasion, Principal District & Sessions Judge said aim of organizing the legal services camp is to aware the public about various central and state-sponsored welfare schemes and programs being implemented in the district. He said DLSA Anantnag is committed to providing legal aid to the needy people particularly weaker sections of the society.
He hailed the efforts of the district administration for support in organizing such a mega legal services camp. He also stressed for organizing such legal services camps at all Tehsil Headquarters.
The DDC Anantnag, on the occasion, said district administration is committed for implementation of all welfare schemes in the district. He emphasized upon the district officers to provide the benefits of various schemes on the grass root level. He also appealed the people to come forward for availing the benefits of these schemes.
About 125 schemes including ISSS, IGNOAPS, Marriage assistance, NFBS, Prosthetic aids, NULM, UMEED, CEWSN under IED component, Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, UJWALA YOJNA and other welfare schemes are being implemented in the district.
Importance of Attal Pension Yojna, Mudra Yojna, Stand-up India, Pradan Mantri Jiwan Joti Yojna, and Suraksha Bema Yojna was also highlighted on the occasion.
The DDC in presence of Principal District & Sessions Judge, Anantnag distributed sanction letters under PMEGP among six beneficiaries dealing with manufacturing units. Cheques worth Rs.36.74 lakh were also distributed among 335 labour class beneficiaries as financial assistance by the labour department.
Sanction letters to 210 beneficiaries under ISSS by Social Welfare Department, 50 certificates among urban poor beneficiaries under Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana by DODA, 27 free LPG connections to AAY families under Ujwala Scheme by FCS&CA, six covering nets, 12 Handle nets, 12 Plastic storage drums, six Tubs, six Buckets to fishermen by Fisheries department, two wheelchairs, 20 crutches, 13 hearing aids by CRC Bemina, three IP sets from Agriculture Departments, sanction letters for 20 Vermicompost kits, certificates & loan sanctions among 35 beneficiaries trained by RSETI, loan sanction letters among 40 beneficiaries sponsored by various departments amounting to Rs.1. crore by LDM, J&K, Bank Anantnag were also disbursed during the camp.
